Important Links & Sources of Information
Note that these links focus on those of interest to Mayflower and
early MA & New England families. It is not intended to be an
"everyman's" web directory, as there are other sites that serve that
purpose, and it's relatively easy to get lost in the "maze" We know. We've
been there! We'll be adding to this list, but if we have missed an important link as
described above, please let us know.
Any given page opens in a new window, so that you may return here,(as a beacon) if you
wish.

In One Genealogy Search Page: We haven't had the opportunity to fully check this
out, but it looks interesting. Search many sites from the page. Try to ignore
the Geocity Host Messages that pop up when you enter the site. No reflection on the site
itself, but it is annoying.

 | Ancestry This commercial
site is an absolute boon for researchers willing to pay a small fee per month to utilize
their on-line resources. An enormous on line database accessed by a substantial
subscriber base. Their free Social Security Index and retrieval is definitely worth
visiting. Membership fees are modest.

 | Vital Records
Information United States Conduct a state-by-state lookup for where to find
vital records. Pretty slick!
|
 | Long Island History (Not legitimately a New England site, and a little difficult
to navigate for history purposes, but outstanding! Choose these chapters, or those of your
choice, for some great get-a-way moments)
