Behind the orators, the treaties, the declarations of our early Massachusetts and New England beginnings, real people lived, died, cried, laughed, worked, worried,  and invariably committed odious deeds--just as we their descendants do today.

We read of the Revolutionary War. The Declaration of Independence. The Mayflower's arrival.  But likely as not, we never get to see the cobwebs, the human frailties, and the everyday business of living and governing in the pre-revolutionary days. It was a harsh, unforgiving world.  It's a wonder we survived at all.

This site is quite simply dedicated to looking in corners, around the fences and down the paths of these early settlers.  Please let us know of errors, opinions, etc.   You can email us anytime.

We hope you enjoy.  We most certainly invite your comments and suggestions!
